I'm taking my dance team to Nationals at Disney World in the beginning of February, so I'll be about 17 weeks then. Are rollercoasters and such completely off limits, or only the ones that have bars that pass around your tummy? I'm going to be so upset if I can't ride some of the rides during the trip. It'll be such a good way to bond with my team.
I'm going to ask my doctor about it and see what she has to say. I can't see why certain things would be off limits if it doesn't hit the belly.. Whatcha think?
Re: Theme park rides while pregnant
BLOG: The Quinntessential Mommy
I am pretty sure you can NOT go on rides when pregant
Hope you like "It's a small world" because that might be all you're able to go on
Call Disney World customer service and ask what rides are okay for pregnant women... I'm sure they have a list. Either way it's Disney! You'll have fun no matter what
I would not go on any unless they are the kind with no hills or jerking around at all. It's a Small World would probably be safe....most likely any of the rides that don't have a seat belt (b.c they are so slow) are fine. I'd still ask though, and stay completely away from anything fast and jerky. The pregnant body is not supposed to be all jerked and jostled around on a rollercoaster.
Really? This possibility makes me so happy! I'll ask when I go in next week!
If not, I sure do love the Peter Pan ride. and the Buzz Lightyear one!
It's funny, I just asked this question last week and got some good replies! Here are the two links some bumpers left me:

Hope this helps! I leave for WDW this Thursday and have decided to see which rides say "no pregnant women." Peter Pan, It's a small World, and Finding Nemo show in theater are so far the only rides I'm for sure ok with. Have fun!
There are a ton of other things to do at Disney that wouldn't put you or your baby at risk. Each park has a couple of rollercoaster type rides to avoid, but the majority of Disney attractions are not this type of ride. It isn't like other theme parks that are all about thrill rides. Just check the brochure online. It tells you which rides are not okay for pregnant women.
If I were you, I'd enjoy some of the shows and the slower paced rides. It'll still be tons of fun to be in the park amidst all of the excitement. Have fun!
Disney's site has specifics for all rides. They will specifically say "expectant mothers should not ride". There are only 14 rides in all 4 main parks that are allegedly off-limits. Most of them are no more dangerous than riding in a car, but I would avoid the big thrill rides (Rock 'n' Roller Coaster & Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios, Dinosaur & Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom, and Mission:Space & Test Track at EPCOT). We're going for a babymoon over spring break, so I've been researching.
The park also suggests against Splash Mountain in MK too, but I plan on riding it. I'm not someone who is overly cautious about some things and I'm very familiar with how the ride operates. Talk to your doctor and only ride what you feel comfortable with. There are certainly lots of things to see, ride, and do without those few attractions.
