S/O What's your definition of crawling?

I always wonder what people count when they say their baby crawls at a really early age or that their baby is abc months old and still doesn't crawl. I always want to ask if they mean army crawling or are they talking about a traditional knee/hand crawl. Seems like there is a huge range of definitions. So how old was your baby when they crawled and how are you defining crawling?

My baby army crawled at 6 months and then actually walked before doing a traditional crawl. Hw was walking at 9.5 months but didn't "crawl crawl" until yesterday, at 10 months.

crawling to me - traditional hands and knees with belly off of the floor.

He started several months ago - honestly, I don't remember when.....worst mom ever. LOL

When I say crawling I mean crawling..;belly off the floor on hands and knees. There are some babies that don't crawl and just army crawl. My son didn't crawl, he army crawled walked and then actually crawled.

crawling- belly off of floor using hands and knees and moving forward.

DS crawled at 6.5 months.

I think crawling is on all fours, unless otherwise specified. That being said, my DD isn't doing either yet

i dont consider army crawling, crawling. dd puts one hand in front of the other, moves her knees accordingly, w/ tummy off the ground. that is crawling.

She started crawling (all fours) at 6 months...she never did the army crawl thing. She is taking about 4-5 steps at a time now...she starts out walking and then looses balances and crawls the rest of the way to where she was going.
