I have 6 bottles and A goes through about 5-6 a day. I was just talking to my sis and she only has 3. I think I would go nuts if I had to wash bottles so often!
I have 6 glass and 6 plastic bottles. I stopped using the glass when ds started holding the bottle on his own but I haven't packed them up yet just in case all of the bottles are dirty. I only had 3-4 small bottles when ds was a newborn and I felt like I washed bottles all day long.
We own 10 - but only use 6 b/c I don't have Level 2 nipples for all 10. I bought 4 extra bottles around 5 months (when I saw them on sale) - and got Level 3 nipples for all 10 bottles...BIG MISTAKE! So far he won't take Level 3 nipples. I really need to get 4 more Level 2 nipples so we can use all the bottles. He goes through 5-6 bottles per day also.
I run ours through the dishwasher. Whenever we need a bottle and don't have a full load to run the dishwasher - I make DH clean the bottles. HAHA!
We own 7. 4 are sent to daycare each day with DS (3 with pumped milk and 1 with formula to mix with his cereal). I want to order more, but I only have about 4.5 months left of work until summer break, so I probably won't.
6 but 2 of them are still in the box lol. I don't put them in the dishwasher. We have really hard water here and all the plastic stuff gets nasty in the dishwasher even with the special salt in there. I hand wash the bottles as I am done with them and the most I have dirty at one time is 3 (rarely do I have 3 dirty at a time, no room in my tiny kitchen). Works very well for us. I think I will have to open up the other 2 for when we are on our trip and through.
ETA:technically I own more. We use to use drop ins so I have 4 of those but the only store with the liners were always out. I also have some breastflow bottles that she wanted nothing to do with. I have like 8 of those ones, some 9 oz and some 5 oz (or whatever they are).
We go through 4-5 a day, so sometimes we wash the nipples separately to use the rest of the clean bottles.

Re: How many bottles do you own?
19
15 8oz and 4 4 oz.
We go through 10-12 a day.
I have 8 of the kind we currently use (8 oz. Dr. Browns). I have other kinds packed away, but the Dr. Browns are the only ones we use now.

8 Medela
2 nuk (one 5 or 6oz, can't remember, and the other 9oz)
5 playtex ventaire
3 of some brand I don't know since I've never used them
1 playtex drop-in that I never used
So 19 in total.
