My SIL is going to come up for two weeks after the baby is born. I'm really looking forward to her help. She's staying at my mom's house, it's about 20 minutes away. I know the two of them will be helpful, ie cleaning the house and fixing meals. My mom bf both my older brother and me so, I'm hoping she'll be helpful with me learning that.
I know DH's parents will want to come by just to hold the baby but, I don't think that will be so stressful with mom and SIL to keep them in check.
Re: Anyone Actually Looking Forward to Visitors?
My mom stayed with us for a week after DD1 was born, and she'll do the same this time. I loved having her there to help out around the house so that I could take care of myself and the baby, so I'm looking forward to it again. Our first day home, my parents and siblings spent the day with us and made us dinner; the next day, H's parents and siblings came over and made us dinner. Then we had scattered friends and family come over in the next couple weeks, and I was happy to have them all since they all were polite enough to call ahead. We were never inundated with a houseful of uninvited guests, thankfully.
My SIL is coming down right after I deliver and is staying with us. She is the one with the most recent kids and I'm glad she will be around. She will only be here for 4 days and then will go back to TX. My brother may also be making an appearence in March, he is currently overseas and it would be a miracle if he gets to come to cali to see his first nephew.
We were planning on flying out there, but he may be able to get to us. We are crossing our fingers and toes.
I loved my mom being here to help for 2 weeks after DS is born. She is coming again this time. She helps out soooo much around the house (and she's a great cook) and I can just spend time with my baby and son. Plus, she takes of me - gives me foot and scalp massages - it's great.
I am! My IL's are coming in from out of town...not sure how long they are staying but I am so excited. I heard you weren't supposed to travel with LO for the first 2 weeks, so we have to wait until then to take him to visit the rest of the family.
And, when I am in the hospital, I told everyone to come visit me. I work at the hospital I am delivering at, so I hope all my co-workers stop by so I can "show-off" my LO.
I am excited, only because we live in Hawaii and both our families live in Ohio and Georgia. But while my dad, who lives in GA, will be visiting most often, it will be nice for my mom and Dh's mom to come out and see their grand baby.
I dont know if I would be so excited if we still lived back in Ohio. LOL

I'm looking forward to one specific visitor, my mum is flying in the week after my due date and I haven't seen her in 18 months. I am definately going to be able to put up with her for 2 weeks!!
Other than that, as long as they are planning on helping, even just holding LO if I need to shower/nap/breathe, that's fine with me - I've come to the realization that they are just excited, and as time passes, they will calm down!
