Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

What color would you paint DS's walls?

We bought DS a toddler bed last weekend and have ordered the rest of the furniture for his room. (The crib, changing table, etc. will be going into the new baby's room) Within the next month or so I want to get DS's "new" room done. DS loves the Cars movie stuff so DH insisted on getting him this bedding: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3161990

Right now we have a sports bear theme in his room so all of that will have to come down, including the wall border. Which will leave just plain white walls. I am keeping the curtains up thought because I love them. They are dark and light blue. What color would you do the walls? I think it is too boring to just leave them plain white! Would you paint all the walls? Just two of them? I would love some creative input please!

  • Okay, that's it.  You and I are meeting up ASAP.  My son ADORES anything Cars!  He always has one of the little Car guys in his hands and makes them "vroom vroom" around the house.

I think that brown colors would look pretty good.

  • i would probably do something neutral in the tan family. that way when he is past the Cars movie, you can re-decorate without too much trouble. see if you can pull any light/warm brown shades out of the bedding set and give it a try.

  • Since it is a cars theme, I would probably do two blues that matches his curtains and bedding bedding all the way around his room; light blue on top and dark blue on the bottom. Then, I would buy some of the grey chalkboard paint and paint that in a border around his room, with white dashes in it to make it look like a road.

This is a good site for inspiration, but what I am talking about is a photo that is almost half way down the page. It says Aidan in huge letters. https://babyroombio.weebly.com/boy-toddler.html
