Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Should i wake her?

We usually eat and go to sleep around midnight. She will then eat at about 7am and go back to sleep until 11.

Thing is that i wake her to eat at 7. Im not sure how long she would sleep if i didnt wake her up. I just get kinda nervous and think thats too long for her to go without eating. Would you guys wake your LO up after 7 hours or should I Just let her sleep until she wakes herself up?

Re: Should i wake her?

  • As soon as DD was back up to her birth weight, we let her sleep until she woke. If you BF, just pump a little to relieve engorgement and enjoy an extra hour or more of sleep!

  • I don't wake to eat, I let her sleep if she wants to. :)?
  • I dont wake to eat. He wakes up when he is hungry.
  • What if you put the baby to bed earlier, since you will want it to be on a baby schedule as it gets older...i.e. going to bed at 7:30.  Perhaps then she will sleep from 7-7.  Or 9-7, what ever works for you.
  • Okay, thanks everyone.  I shall not wake her any more!

  • we never woke either DD to eat. Enjoy the sleep! Especially at this point where I'd assume she's back to her birth weight and some :)
