I couldn't have lived without it the first two months. I haven't needed to use it lately, but I'm sure we will when we start travelling more. I would recommend getting one.
DD sleeps in it every night, in my room. She was in the bassinet part of it, but she outgrew it so now she's in the bottom. I'll probably be moving her to her crib soon, as soon as she stretches out her sleeping a little more at night.
It was given to me by relatives, but I probably would have bought one anyway. It will continue to be useful when she is older b/c I can use the bottom part as a playpen in the living room. It's also nice to be able to travel with it, which I'm doing next weekend.
We use it a lot for traveling. I can see using it at home if our living room was bigger. I would have loved to be able to put him down in there to play with toys, etc. while I was cleaning up from meals and everything.
It was super useful (especially the changing table) during her first two months as a sort of extra staging area near the living room/kitchen so I wouldn't have to run upstairs to her room to change her/set her down while I had to go pee/etc. Now we just use it when we travel and its super handy as a spare crib that way.
We were going to use ours for a bassinette, but my parents brought over their bassinette and we used it instead. Otherwise we would have used it for the first couple months before we moved her into her crib. Had we not had the bassinette from my parents it would have been invaluable as I couldn't reach down into the crib after my c-section. But now it just sits in the closet.
Yes, we have 3. One at my mom's, one at IL's and one for travel. The Il's and my mom will be babysitting Tahlia when I return to work and she needs a place to nap. It is to much work to break it down and set it up at a different house every other day. We LOVE it.
I've only ever used mine as storage and on New Years when my best friend spent the night and her DD used it. We don't travel and have a 1 story 1300 sq ft house. Maybe if our house was bigger I might use it more. I also might use it more when DS is more moblie when i go potty or something. I don'r regret buying one because I got it used but I would feel silly if I had spent to much.

We change diapers in the pack-n-play and that is about it. DD does not nap easily and that is why we don't use it for naps. My friends use theirs daily...
only last week to travel. should've gotten a cheaper version b/c we never used the bassinet feature. ok, we did the 1st night in our room but that was a major fail. he's been in his crib in his room ever since.
i would still get one though, but unless you are going to have him in your room and not put his crib in there, just get a cheaper one that you can use for traveling.
