he is sleeping right now so I cant....I can try to take one tomorrow. No, not rough, they are real red and rosy like they would be if he came in from the cold outside. Red and warm.

DS's have been this way too. I have read it can be teething realted and I think DS is working on his 2 year molars. it comes and goes...morning they are ok an get worse as the day goes on.
DD had this last Christmas when she was getting her first set of molars (it's odd because it hasn't happened since, and she has all but one of her 2 year molars). They were almost florescent red. They then turned almost blue...it was super odd, so we went to the Dr. Turns out that it was only teething, and it was because she is so fair (I'm one of those people who gets red the minute I exercise, and stay that way for hours). The Dr laughed and said that it must be the Irish in her!
DD's canine top teeth are coming though---finally---and her cheeks are uper rosey----definitly teething---asked the pedi when she was first getting her teeth---confirmed
