another board directed me here. I had M/C 11/11/09 and D/C 11/12/09. Just got first AF and was wondering if it is true it is easier to get pregnant after a D/C? any help appreciated

I have heard that before too.

Not sure if it's true since we waited almost a year after I had a d&c.

I have not heard of that, but it could be true! I got pregnant my first cycle following my first AF post D&C!!

Same thing here. Not sure why it would be easier to get pg post D&C (I've never heard that before), but I'm sorry for your loss and best wishes.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I was told to wait two cycles after my D&C and then I got pregnant on the third cycle. I never heard that before, but I have heard that you are more fertile right after a m/c. It was true for me, because it took over a year to conceive my ds and then 7 months to conceive last time and first try this time. Best wishes!

I heard that you are fertile a few months after a m/c. I had a m/c in Dec and got pg the following March, then m/c again in April and got pg in June.

As for your question, personally I had a D&C Jan 8, 2009. Ovulated Jan 28, positive HPT on Feb 11. So I got pregnant prior to my first period following the surgery, and as you can see from my siggy, things worked out just fine!

We were told to wait three cycles to TTC. I got pregnant our second cycle of trying.

I got pregnant before my first cycle after my D&C. Although I don't recommend that but my pregnancy this go around has gone smoothly so far.

I would say it is only easier if you are consider that some natural miscarriages taek a very long time or dont get all the tissue passes and take longer for you to regulate. This was the discussion we had with my ob...

No, you aren't more fertile after D+C. Most people get pregnant within 3-6 cycles, which is the same with people first TTC.

Hi. It's my first time visiting this board... knew about mc/preg loss but not this one so i have had two mc and preg now. D/C in may and told to wait two cylces. we didnt get preg until Nov and we used the ovulation test strips for that month so im not sure if its "easier", for us i would say no but then again we weren't charting and doing all that stuff... so good luck and stay positive!
