Girl Names that = Porn Star names

So I'm loving Jenna these days. DH says how could I think of using that name with Jenna Jamison.

I say 1. you can probably find 75% of female names that are in some kind of porn movie by now and 2. In 15 years are people still going to automatically think of Jenna Jamison when she says her name is Jenna???

Thoughs on using names that either are or sound like porn star names....????

In terms of Jenna- I have taught multiple girls named Jenna and I never once associated it with Jenna Jamison. I think it's a cute name. You can't let one whore ruin a name for you. Then every name would be ruined!

I don't think Jenna is a porn star name at all. I think there just happens to be a porn star named Jenna. Also, I think she may have retired so I don't think you need to worry about her in 15 years.

I don't associate Jenna with Jenna Jameson. I have known several people named Jenna and I think it's a pretty common name.

The only names I associate with strippers/porn stars are the youneeke names with y's instead of the vowels.

I don't think it is a popular association. But I think if that's what comes to mind for your DH, you should pick a different name. He probably doesn't want to think "porn" everytime he hears his little girl's name!

I immediatley think of Jenna Jamison...but only because DH has a mild obsession with her. Prior to meeting him however, I would have never made the connection.

I'm with your husband here. Say to a person, "Name a famous porn star," and odds are that they'll say "Jenna Jameson." There's nothing naughty about the name itself, but it's an association that WILL exist.

And pp is right: If your husband thinks "porn" when he hears the name--even if he's the only one--it's got to be off the table.

I just asked DH what names he associates with porn, not "who are some famous porn stars" but "what names do you think are pornesque"

His response: "Candy, Harmony, Cheyenne" are the first three he spat out. NOT jenna.

I don't initally think of Jenna Jameson when I hear the name Jenna. However, my cousin is pregnant and planning on naming her DD Jameson. THAT reminds me of the porn star.

I know a few people named Jenna and have never even thought of them being associated until I saw your post. I don't think people would think of that at all.

My best friend is Jenna. I've never thought of a porn star and people never say that to her and she's very well-endowed lol. I think it's a very cute name!

it is a beautiful name. I have a friend and a 4 year old niece, both named Jenna, and never once made the association with the porn star.

And if any adult looks at a baby or young child and thinks "porn star" or worse, she goes to day care with a child her age who knows who Jenna Jamison is, someone should call the cops immediately.

On that topic...what are your thoughts on Kimber? My husband says it sounds porn starish, which it kinda is, for those of you who watch Nip/Tuck, she is a former porn star on there....but I think it would be a cute girl name, and goes well with our little guy, Carter...

maybe if you named your girl Jenna Jamison, people might think of porn... aside from that, no one is gonna think that, save for a few teenage/grown males, and they are gonna find something "dirty" about everything anyways.
