just went shopping!

My mom and I went to the mall today for round 1 of maternity shopping!  I felt a little silly because I'm still small and totally had to use that fake "belly", but I ended up getting a bunch of tops and a dress!  I don't know how soon I'll start wearing everything, but it'll be nice NOT to have that morning when all of the sudden I wake up and say, "oh sh!t, I have nothing that fits me anymore".  Some of the stuff I got is going to be so comfy- super excited :)

    My mom took me shopping around week 17.  I felt sort of silly too, but the next week I definitely had that morning!  I'm still wearing all my regular sweaters and tops (I'm almost 22 wks), but I was sooo happy to have those maternity pants to put on.  I haven't gone back to any of my regular pants since I started wearing them! =)

    I wished I had gone shopping early. I didn't, because I felt silly, too. Then I popped over Christmas, and between holidays and our compact travel plans, I didn't have a chance to go shopping when I really needed to. I really overextended the belly band, and suffered through traveling in tight jeans.

     So you are definitely doing the right thing :)

    Good plan!  I waited and luckily that day happened on Thanksgiving so I could just wear sweats until I got to the mall:)

    I went to Old Navy and shopped their incredibly limited in-store selection... got a really comfy sweatshirty thing though, and went to Motherhood Maternity (even though I know their return policy blows goats) to get some tops.  Right now my pre-pg dress pants are actually a little big on me, and they're mostly low-rise so I can easily get away with wearing the Be Band with them.
