Which room for new baby?

We have DS in the "better" bedroom right now.  The spare room is next to the garage where DH is working all the time.  He can make quite a bit of noise in there.  So the spare room can be kinda noisy.

I was thinking we put the new baby in the spare room since newborns sleep through anything, but DH thinks we should move DS and put the new baby in the better room, since the new baby may need more quiet.  I am just worried DS is already adjusted to his room, and moving him may create sleep issues.

What do you think?

Re: Which room for new baby?

  • I would let DS stay in "his" room. Too much change might make it harder for him to accept the new baby.

  • I say let DS stay.  The baby will be used to noise anyhow, trying to nap with a toddler around.

  • Our current nursery is also the "better room" and we recently moved Kaylin to the other room. Personally, I would put the baby in whichever room is closer to you.
