initially i was going to stop working at the end of the month, but i am so tired and stressed at work i am thinking about making next week my last week. just curious as to when others are going to stop working?
My scheduled last day is Feb 26th. That's 2 weeks before my due date.. We'll see if I can make it that long though. I'm ready to leave now and I still have 9 weeks!
I will be working until I go into labor. Unless something happens and I have to be on bedrest. I am using all the time I have for after LO is born and still can only take 6 weeks. So I don't have any to use before.
I stopped at 36 weeks. If I didn't, I would've lost out on 4-6 weeks of disability so I figured eh, take the extra month off because either way I'd have the same amount of time after my LO is born.
It depends, for me. I've got a pretty nasty Valentine's day schedule (about 80 hours, retail). Like a fool, I originally thought I could hack it, but now I'm not so sure. If my boss does make me work that schedule, I will likely just start my leave instead at 38 weeks. If he let's me work a regular schedule then I will probably stick around till 40 weeks. Only time will tell.

I plan to work until Spring Break...at that time I'll be 37w 6d...I was considering trying to make that last week after Spring Break but I'm almost certain that going back to work at 39 weeks is not gonna happen.
My last day at work was December 23rd. I was on vacation from the 23rd of December to January 5th. I officially started my mat. leave on January 6th which brought me to 39 weeks.
I was planning on stopping right at my EDD except this past week was brutal on me. My students are much more physically demanding than I had thought before break so my Dr. is taking me out at 36wks 2 days so Jan 29th will be my last day. I also have a 45 min commute one way and with it being winter, my Dr. didn't want me to get stuck. It is not ideal and not what I want but I just can't do my job effectively and I'm worthless at home because I'm so tired and sore at night. As I said, this past week made me realize this.
My first day of leave is 38 wks, exactly. I am scheduled for a csection a week and a half later. I didn't have one day of leave before DD#1 arrived, so I'm trying to give myself a little bit of a break this time.
I am working until two days before my scheduled c-section. I went out of work with my first DD at 36 weeks and didn't have her until almost 42 weeks. I work in a very physically demanding job (I'm an RN) but I work with great nurses who will definitely help me out.
1 week before my due date. I want to be nice and relaxed before labor begins, but I do want most of my leave to be spent with LO, so I feel like 1 week is a good compromise.
I plan to work up until about my EDD but my doc just told me that he wants me out 4 weeks before. I don't understand his rationale because I feel great and all my levels are great so, at this point in time, I plan to keep working until any of that changes.
With my job, FMLA starts when I go out and I really don't want to sit at home 4 weeks feeling great when I COULD be spending that time with baby later.
My last day is the Friday before I am due (2 weeks from now). I really would do anything to be done now but I only have 9 weeks off so I am not willing to waste more than one w/out a baby...I will be induced at 41wks if he hasn't arrived.
"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasured day you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart...let me hold you while I may."
I worked until 37 weeks, then took some vacay days before my company's Christmas break (we're off between Christmas and New Years). My mat leave started on Jan 4th.
I'm really glad it worked out the way it did because I have a ridiculous commute (a bus to a subway to a subway with lots of walking/stairs) and I don't think I woud have been able to do that much longer than I did.

Still working and due Wednesday. I secretly hope that at my Monday appt. they tell me to stay home and rest...but I'll have to count those days as part of my leave, so yuck.
Before January (36 weeks, due February 1), I was working 40 hrs/(6 day) week. It was just becoming too much for me and I became anxious that I wasn't doing enough baby prep. I was approved to use vacation hours each Monday in January and only work Tuesday through Friday for a total of 32 hours (yeah, no weekends!) It has been so helpful to have three days off a week. I get a 12 week leave, but leave cannot start until the baby is born. I am taking it day by day. I'll probably work up until one week before my due date and use vacation time for that week. Of course, baby could be late. I am thankful that I get 21 vacation days a year. Yes, I want use this time after leave is over to spend time with baby, but I also think it is important for me to take off time for baby now as well--just have to balance it out.
I'm at 38 weeks and I'll be working until I go into labor. I have only 3 months maternity leave and want to spend it with my baby, not at home before he comes, wasting time.
I'm also fortunate to still feel really well. If I had complications or didn't feel right, I might have a different approach.
ill be working until i go into labor. I dont really have much choice. Im still mostly comfortable...i have a little swelling, my hips and back ache a bit but for the most part im doing just fine. I may feel differently in a couple weeks, but I will still be plugging away at work.
I will be working until our little girl decides to come out. I just hope its not while I am at work. I will have about 10 weeks off after she is born and like most of you I want to spend that time with her and not sitting at home doing nothing.
I am praying to stay off bedrest and work up to the hour i go into labor. I will have 10 weeks with baby if I can... fingers crossed! I am currently breech, and if I have to have a c-section, I will probably take the day before off to get things ready for not being able to take care of little one as well, but we shall see. I would rather not take a single minute of time off without little one. I will admitt though, ia m majorly slowing down at work, probably mostly because Ihave a very physically demanding job as an inpatient therapist. my boss is really understanding though, and keeps telling me not too see as many patients and get more adm work done.
My last official work day is Feb 17 but I have vacation days to use up until Feb 26 so my first day of actual leave is March 1st. I was going to try to work to the end but as I got closer to the end I realized how nice it would be to have a couple of weeks off before LO is here to finish up any things that I don't get done and just relax.

I always planned on working until my EDD which is next monday. But I go to the doctor every week and every week I've made no progress. so I guess i'll probably work up in till i have her.
