3rd Trimester

Braxton Hicks all day long!

So, all day I've been having Braxton Hicks... and I've been so uncomfortable that I've been walking around to stay more comfortable (and I HATE STANDING! I would rather sit uncomfortably than stand) so walking around it is... anyway...it seemed like every time I stood up I would get a Braxton Hicks... This is the first day that I've noticed them happening this much.

I'm sure it's normal, they don't hurt... Just really tight belly and because they don't hurt they are hard to time.

Does anyone else get them all day?  Or what?

I've been drinking lots of water all day actually... But maybe the laying down thing will help...

  • I have been getting them all day too and have now been diagnosed with an "irritable uterus". I was given some meds for the B-H and told to drink lots of water, take it easy, and lie down on my left side when they get bad. Been following these orders for almost 3 weeks now with no noticeable improvement. Dr says some ladies just have an overactive uterus...
In final 2 WW after 1st injectible IUI cycle with gonadotropins, Gonal-F. IUI was 9/23. DH will not do another cycle, so this is it for us. History: 6 pregnancies: 5 losses and one DD (born 1-30-2010). Last pregnancy (May 2012) ended in D&E at 9 weeks, testing showed male fetus with an extra 16th chromosone. Recurrent losses thought to be likely due to AMA (I'm 40).
