LOL and no, i will not PIP.
actually, its on its way to being orange-y red, then back to blonde.
back in the fall i went dark and i never liked it but i dont like to mess with my hair too much. so i left it alone until now. well last night i tried to lift the color out of my hair. umm yeah it didnt quite work out. its still brown with a tinge of green. i had to walk around all day like this. thank goodness for winter hats ![]()
so right now my head is currently on fire and itchy from the color remover. its like my head has an STD. and i accidentally got some of it in a cut on my arm. yeeoch.
i will never go brown again. ever ever ever.
what was your biggest hair mishap?

May 2011 Siggy Challenge

I have almost black hair, and I used SunIn in the 7th grade. TOTALLY orange! The worst part is that I thought it was cool, so I wore it around that way for a year. Finally, my mom couldn't stand it anymore and took me to a salon to get it fixed!!
My BFF dyed her hair pink by accident. She's blonde and tried to use a red color at home. BAD IDEA!
lol i dye my hair pink on purpose
Oh no - I'm sorry!
I'm a "natural" blonde, but I've been WAY too blonde in the past. Like, too much sun and fried hair blonde. I've actually been thinking about going a little darker lately.
I dyed my hair brown with some chunky fire-engine red highlights. Well then my BF at the time (who I was convinced was "the one" and was a huge family man) told me his uber-conservative dad wanted to have me over for dinner for the first time on Sunday night. I knew it was important that his dad like me, so I didn't want him to jump to conclusions because of the hair. I was camping with my family that weeked, but I thought I could easily strip my hair at the campground and dye a nice conservative light brown over it. My hair ended up bleach blonde and bright pink after I stripped it and this disgusting pink-y brown color after I dyed it the light brown. I ended up having to go back into town with my fugly hair and buy some darker brown hair dye to cover it all up.
My mom thought it was hilarious and took pictures of the entire ugly disaster. Now my four hair colors in one weekend event has it's own scrapbook page.
My biggest hair mishab? When I used to dye my hair platinum blonde.
Clearly, not for me.
Back in '03.
mb, i liked your hair dark-i thought it was pretty!
I let my friend lighten my roots in HS and she turned me bright yellow. Went to a salon to "fix" it and they turned it platinum! I wouldn't go to school for 3 days.
On another note: If you have any issues with what you're doing now, send me a PM. I'm a pro and maybe I can help you.
Be careful with that color remover its basically just bleach. And, remember this rule: you cannot remove color with color. GL!
I never met a mishap I couldn't fix myself. I've gotten some brassiness, purple on accident, blacker than I wanted, etc. but I've always been able to fix it myself.
However! This summer when I do my traditional platinum blonding--I think I may go to the beauty school to get it done so I dont' have to damage my hair so badly.

LOL....
Where has your head been??? and WHAT has it been doing???
Haha! Definitely! I wore a ton of Roxy and Pacific Sunwear back then, too.
Oh yeah! I forgot to mention a little secret we use in the salon if you have any Sweet N Low add a packet to your color (remover, lightener or whatever after you mix it) and it will cut back on the scalp irritation. I use all the time.
Once I put pink highlights in my hair. It was this temporary stuff that was supposed to wash out in 3 washes. Well, I washed it 8 times and it never came out. It got lighter, but it was definitely not gone. I had to go back to work the next day, so I went to a salon to have them fix it. They bleached my hair once, but it didnt come out. So they bleached it again and it still didn't come out!!! By this time my head was on fire. Apparently, since I had my hair highlighted before I put the pink in, it "stained" my hair. So, she dyed it a light brown, but you could still see the pink. So, finally she dyed it a dark brown.. it was the only color that would cover the pink. My scalp was so sore for weeks.
aw thanks! but i didnt feel like myself with it.
so the de-browing was a big ol' fail, huh?
the worst thing color-wise was when my boyfriend had the brilliant idea that i should go blond. we put beauty shop bleach on it and my hair was orange. it was fab when it started growing back in.
cut-wise was in like, 8th grade when i asked for layers and got fringe around my face. it started up higher than my eyebrows (reeeally high) and was cut at an angle down. it was SO awful. I wore my hair in a ponytail with my bangs schelac-sprayed and bobbypinned to my head until it grew out.
Once I messed up so bad it looked like I had some lepoard print looking going on. :P
Usually I just get dye all over ME.
I have 2 mishaps. #1 being the perm I got 2 years ago OMG worst thing ever. I looked like a poodle when all I wanted was a body wave. Lesson learned NEVER get your hair done by someone you don't know well.
#2 cutting off 12 inches after DS was born. Sure it was a good thing that I donated it to Locks for Love and got ride of most of the perm....but short is too high maintenance for me, and I look weird with short hair. Back to growing it out which will take a good year to be at the length I want.
As far as color goes, I've never had a mishap which I give all that credit to my fabulous hair stylist I've been seeing for 10 years.
