Swollen feet anyone?

My feet started swelling a couple of weeks ago so when I come home from work, I prop 'em up and it helps. Lately though, they're just swollen most of the time. Dr. checked and I'm good, normal-type thing. Not super swollen but swollen enough that my shoes hurt. Obviously can't wear flip flops to work (because I would if I could at this point). Anyone found a good shoe or brand of comfortable shoes they'll like to suggest?

  • I LIVE in my LL Bean slippers with hard soles... the are wide and don't really "look" like slippers, my cankles and swollen footsies are in heaven.

  • i have a little bit of swelling in my lower legs, i work 12+ hour night shifts as a RN.  i found "compression stockings" (nylons work the same as long as they have good support in the leggings) help.  you can wear socks over the top of them if that's more comfortable on your feet.  sometimes they are marketed as "airline socks" (only knee-high).  i know i've found them at walmart & target usually under $10 a pair.  they really help.

  • Im a crazy person and have worn high heels throughout the pregnancy so far, Ive found that getting the weight off my heels is actually a relief sometimes. But most of my heels dont fit anymore cuz of the swelling :(    Im going to look into those LL Bean boots, i need an alternative to ugly tennis shoes and sandals quick!
