I'm leaving my OB (I'm 5 mos pregnant) and would like to find someone rather quickly. I would prefer an OB who understands that there are women who know their bodies (pregnant or not) and who will not dismiss their ills as "you didn't eat enough food" or "you're sleeping on your back" and their staff understands that as well. (Actually, I'm really not leaving because of the doctor, but because of her nurse.) I'd also like someone who, if they're referring you to a specialist, would have the courtesy to call you first and explain why, rather than just having the specialist call you to set up an appointment.
Any suggestions? I live downtown, but I have plans to deliver at St. Ann's already and that's where my ultrasound appointments are, etc. I already have my monthly appt scheduled with the nurse practitioner for tomorrow and an ultrasound scheduled for next week, so my next visit wouldn't be until mid-January, I think.
All suggestions/thoughts are welcome.
Thanks,
Keely
Re: OB Help
I delivered at St Ann's too.
My OB is at Polaris and her name is Carol Jenkins. A very nice and patient lady and supported all my plans (natural, no drugs). I think she is great. And all the nurses at the office are super nice too.
dr sabol at northeast ob/gyn...located in ghanna, off hamilton rd...i absolutely love dr sabol (a woman)...she is the best...she delivers at st anns too...
Dr. Parnes is up in Westerville...Raymond, Parnes and Aurora (I think that's the last one). I LOVE Dr. Parnes....he delivers at St. Ann's. Number is 890-1914 if you want it.
