what carrier do you like for longer trips? I'm still struggling with the Ergo. I don't think I'm ready to sell it yet, but I am debating trying something else... I tried a back carry 2x now and it was worse than the front carry.
I hated my Ergo so much I sold it, no qualms. I love my MTs 95% of the time. But for longer trips I use a stretchy wrap, there's just no match for comfort. I will be looking into getting a woven when the temp heats up

at what point did you throw the towel in and decide to sell it?
I have thought about trying a wrap, but I don't know if Emmy is cooperative enough! I think she's at a weird stage- she isn't a limp, easily adjustable newborn but she doesn't *quite* have control of herself either.
Do you know if you have any babywearing groups near you so you could try it out? I started back wrapping DS when he was about 3.5 months old, but I had wrapped DD before that so it made it easier. I have found it is something that they get used to along with you. At first he was a little antsy and I used DH as a spotter or made sure to do it over the bed, etc. Now, I put him on my back and he just lays there happy to be wrapped! unless he's having a funky day...

I love my ergo for toddlers. My little guy hated it until he was almost 6 months.
I use a woven wrap with him all the time! If I put him on my back he falls asleep more often than not.
