I'm dying to paint/decorate our master bedroom - it is SO boring. We moved in when I was 8 months pregnant with J and since then have been too busy to really think about redecorating. The room is kind of large and every time I think I pick a color I imagine it around the whole room and decide not to do it.
So what color are your bedroom walls and do you like it?
TIA!
Re: Non-clicky poll: What color is your bedroom?
a blue which has some gray in it. So a slightly grayish/smokey blue. Love it.
ETA: I should say a lighter blue.
Lagoon Breeze
I love it
Ummm weird. Ditto.
PLEASE ignore the serious mess in the room, but here:
And it's open to the bathroom, which is this color:
We love it. I've painted every room in our house

It will be the same tan that is in my living room w/ panels framed in white trim, inset w/ black damask wallpaper. Heavy white crown molding will top off the suite's white window frames and tall white floor boards. The ceiling will be a soft white or barely there tan, and the floors are to be refinished in a dark mahogany. Furniture is antique solid mahogany pieces, except for the bed, and we're in a toss between 2 (the one I love and the one he loves.)
The cedar lined closets in the twin room will be built-in, but look like antique queen anne armars, and will be the same white as the trim. A window seat will be built into the bay window area, and have hidden cedar storage inside it.
I have 2 red, green & gold rugs on each side of the bed, and a coordinating rug be in the twin room. My g-ma is tatting 6 inch lace to trin the ruffled bedskirt, and the lace will puddle on the floor.
I've not decided on bedding yet, or curtains. I'm leaning towards a cranberry and gold design of french inspiration.
It is currently medium brown on bottom, white chair rail, and then cream/sage stripes (1 foot wide) on the top. I painted it when it was the guest bedroom and then when we made a nursery it became our room. I am planning on repainting in the next few weeks. I'm going to do a deep chocolate on bottom and I haven't decided on the top. The top will depend on what bedding I find and what color I can get DH to agree too

I want this in dragonfly. Its 4th from the right on the waterscape colors.
Main room, white save for the wall behind the bed, which is a magenta-ish color. Our room is enormous, so I think the one wall of a different color is nice because it's not dull but it's not TOO MUCH, kwim?
Sitting room, mauve. It's actually a pink-tan color, but I think of it as mauve, though mauve is much more purple.
Bathroom, Tiffany blue.
I love the one off wall in the main room, but I don't think I'd have minded something other than white (though still light) on the other walls. We were just really lazy when we moved in. I don't love the mauve in the sitting area, but it's pretty neutral and looks good behind all the art I have in there. The bathroom I adore. I took a box to Lowe's and had it paint matched. It looks fantastic with the white towel/toilet paper holders and silver fixtures.

Our bedroom (actually our whole apartment) is a pinkish tan which I despise.
If we decide to stay here for more than our obligated year, I'm painting. Our bedroom would probably be a cool, slightly lighter than medium blue.

It will be tan, eventually.
I won't tell you what it is now. Let's just say that the first owners of our home had exceptionally poor taste in paint colors, a talent rivaled only by their lack of painting skill. Hideous.
icky dark brown 70's nightmare wood panelling.
um, i LOOOOOOVVVVEEE it, can't you tell.
Me too!
We have black accents (frames, night tables, etc) and charcoal colored curtains.
Tales of the Wife
We have coved celilings which are Ralph Lauren Majestic purple (metallic) and then the walls are regal brown... So it's a chocolatey purple overall- We only use our bedroom for sex and sleep- so it's purrrrrfect!
I did a lot of crystal accents in it too- made hangind pendant lamps out of knotted up Christmas "ice" garland and the such...we call it our zen den...
