If you plan on using any organic baby products...

...what brands/products are you using? Are you trying to go all organic? Or just a few items?

Re: If you plan on using any organic baby products...

  • I use natural soap and lotion ( and if you have to choose I'd go with the lotion since that is on their skin longer and actually absorbe), and any foods that are available.  We also use hormone free milk (not organic, as I've read that organic milk actually loses some of it's nutritional quality because it's pasteurized at such a high heat).

Her sheets are organic, but other than that I haven't gone crazy with the organic cotton/materials.  I'd rather spend the money on the organic fruits and veggies.

  • Naturepedic crib mattress and mattress protector, organic sheets (I think the brand is ABC but there are lots out there), and I will likely use California Baby bath products.

Yeah, California Baby is actually what we use.  I get the soap, lotion, diaper cream and sunscreen.  They have a special diaper rash cream, but I use Triple Paste for really bad ones, so I haven't tried it.  I'm sure it's good though.

  • I use Earth's Best diaper lotion and sunscreen (only one DD wasn't allergic to actually). And I switched to Seventh Generation diapers about a year ago b/c she kept getting a horrible rash (she was crying and scratching like crazy) and non of the medications the doc gave her were helping. Two days with the new diapers and the rash went away.
