Two Under 2

Another P&T Question

Ok, so I really like the P&T Vibe and Sport models, but I have three concerns:

(1) What is the newborn pocket thing? Is the P&T a good choice for those with a newborn and a toddler? Can the baby see anything or are they in a cocoon?

(2) I am a big mall junkie- and love using my mommy clips to hang my shopping bags off the stroller handle. That will obviously not be an option with the P&T since the bags would bonk the baby in the jump seat in the head...what do you do with bags?

(3) The jump seat seems really low to the ground. Does anyone have problems with their kid reaching into the wheels etc?

Re: Another P&T Question

  • I did not buy the P&T until ds (#2) was 9m/o. prior I wore him in a sling or bjorn and dd rode in the single... or she walked and ds rode in the stroller (carrying the sling in my diaper bag in case I had to hipsling dd).

for the diaper bag,  I just put the diaper bag in the basket, then dc in the jumpseat.  when ds was younger, I could fit the skip hop diaper bag, our 3 coats or a few smaller bags while he sat in the back.  Now, dd prefers to walk.

no issues with my kids grabbing wheels.  they enjoy the jump seat.  they used to fight over it.  Now that dd is older, she sits in the front for walks in the neighborhood... but if we're at the mall are in Manhattan, she likes to walk and just hops in and out of the jumpseat when she's tired or needs to sit.

I had those same concerns too.  I found my top three in a store together to play with them (P&T, Baby Jogger city, Bumbleride IndieTwin) and having them side by side there was no choice.  the P&T is very nice for in the city.  If the size wasn't as much of an issue, I may have leaned towards one of the others... but walking in busy areas, the P&T is the best option.  all maneauvered smoothly.  another neat option now that I would have looked more into had it been around... the baby jogger city select.  It's another single and adouble , but you can reposition the seats in about 16 different ways and I don't believe the seat placement ever interferes with the basket space or handle space (for your bag).

  • "for the diaper bag,  I just put the diaper bag in the basket, then dc in the jumpseat.  when ds was younger, I could fit the skip hop diaper bag, our 3 coats or a few smaller bags while he sat in the back." I do this too and I have the saddle bags so I no longer need a diaper bag.

"no issues with my kids grabbing wheels.  they enjoy the jump seat.  they used to fight over it...she just hops in and out of the jump seat when she's tired or needs to sit." Mine still fight to sit back there too. They both prefer to nap back there. Caroline likes the freedom to jump in and out and the wheels are not even an issue if properly strapped in.

  • Thanks guys. I just need to take the plunge and make a decision so I can stop coming up with all of these ?'s. Stick out tongue
