Again.

Last time it was broken into, thousands of dollars worth of stuff was taken. This was just a few months ago. She had to buy a new computer, TV, camera, replace stolen jewelery...

Who knows what they took this time.

Damnit.

I have a fear of someone breaking into our house at night while we are home. A few months ago new neighbors had their house broken into and I spent a few weeks laying in bed at night worried.

DH and I tried to tell her to but she didn't listen.

Her house is on a US highway and her backyard backs up into a golf course...but there are a ton of trees between the road and her house, so she doesn't get that security of being in a high traffic area. And there is very little activity on the golf course right now because it's so damn cold here. The last time, the burglars came in through a window in the back.

BIL fixed everything and did some things to prevent it from happening again. But it obviously wasn't enough and I'm glad she's going to get an alarm this time.
