reeeeeallly want the uppa baby vista - opinions?

but i just added it all to my 'cart' and with the rumble seat and the car seat adapter its WAYYYY over budget. ($726)We currently have the city mini for DD & DH loves it. He wants to get the city mini dbl. Hes obsessed with the super easy push & folding of the city mini.?My thought is that I'll still need just a single stroller sometimes - SO I could sell the city mini & get the uppa baby & get the best of both worlds in ONE.or for that price I could just get the phil & ted?????

  • I am in exactly the same boat! The uppa is our very first choice, but we just can't justify spending that much. I think I'm going with the Phil and Ted but it says on their website that you can't use the rumble seat with the car seat adapter however a in a previous post a nestie who has one says you can.

  • Did you look at the Baby Jogger City Select - has extra seat (traditional seat so not smaller like most rumbles) plus the Baby Jogger easy fold... it is expenzive with all the options but could be an option
  • I really liked this one until I watched a review on babygizmo.com.   It seemed like the rumba seat was super close to the first baby...have you seen it in person?  Is it roomy?  There is a really cool video review on it on babygizmo.com!
  • I have the City Mini double and would totally go with the Uppa or the Phil and Ted over the BJ City Mini.  Even though the City Mini is "narrow" by side by side standards, it is still a beast.  It's impossible to maneuever through stores like Gymboree or Macys with it.  Definitely go with the Phil and Ted or the Uppa.  Have you tried both of them out in person?  We ended up going with the City Mini over the Phil and Ted (Uppa rumble seat wasn't out yet), and DD HATED the Phil and Ted and started crying when we put her in it.  That's how we decided...but I still wish we had a Phil and Teds!

  • i have a single city mini and love it, but checked out the double and hated it esp with the seat adapter--its huge. My sister got the uppa stroller without the rumble seat and I have to say I hated the tires. Wasnt a great ride like I would think in an expensive stroller. I dont know if the new model has air tire, but it should for that price. Babygizmo.com shows the uppa with the rumble seat and they look too close IMO. Dh hates the P&T so thats out for us. I want the BJ city select--so pricey though. GL in your search!

  • What rules the uppa out for me was the weight limits. Too low for us to be of any use.

For that price I"d get the P&T or the City mini DBL or wait and get the City Select!

  • I have the vista now & will be retrofitting it. I love love it! I used the bassinet part at night for M when she was a NB & will be doing the same with this one. It's light & I also use it as my everyday stroller.  So the price more than justified itself.

We got a pliko lite from CL for 1/2 what tru wanted for it and have probably used it maybe 3x. Maybe. Obviously I'll use it more (maybe) when I send my vista back for retrofitting.
