I have a interview (yep, I have to interview at this place) next week at my work's daycare center. What questions should I bring to ask them? I asked, during my tour of the facility, about retention of teachers, to which they don't have that much of a turnover... most people that work at my company have worked there for 15+ years, so they keep employees around for a while. What else should I ask about?
I hear that they ask employees why they want their child in their daycare besides price (its cheaper then local ones in NB) and convenience. Is there any other reason!??!? hahahah!
Re: Finding a daycare ?
yeah its a great benefit, but its like getting into Juliard!
they only accept a few babies at a time (I think 12, but it might be less) and our company has 4,000+ employees! Fingers crossed I get Reese in.
I guess my main need is questions to ask them. They seem pretty okay with schedules, me coming to feed her during the day and pickup policy, but is there anything else I need to know about?
Illness: What is their sick child policy? How soon will parents be called to pick up their LO and will they be removed from the group during that time?
Food: What is provided (if any)? If you have specific preference, like organic, what are the options?
Diapers/Wipes: One daycare our DD was in supplied everything and the current one she's in doesn't supply anything.
GL with your interview!
You go girl! After we got the interview, we got in! So hopefully it means the same for you. Too bad I did not get to use their service because DH is staying home. We totally loved it. You guys did an incredible job with the place! Man, I want to work there!!!
I asked about communication between parent and teacher. I know they have the clipboard but I wanted to actually go over it with someone.
Could I join their activities if I wanted too? They have snow day!
then, I returned the question to them. What do they expect of you?
Just an FYI on previous post...they don't supply food or diapers/wipes for infants since each can be sensitive in their own way. You bring your own.
