in my bradley book it says to time from the start of one contraction to the start of the next and to time from the start of the contraction to the peak only. is that how you guys time them too. it doesn't seem right to time from the start of the first to the start of the next one because if it lasts for a minute and you say they are 4 minutes apart they are really only actually 3 minutes apart. did that make any sense?
Re: timing contractions
That is right except I was told from beginning of contraction to end (not peak). From beginning of one to the next is the frequency and the beginning to end is duration. The website www.contractionmaster.com could help.
ETA: it is like your cycle- you count from day 1 to day 1 so a 28 day cycle means there are 28 days between first days.
Look under the "tools" tab on here... there is a contraction counter tool. It is SUPER handy!! That way you don't have to write down the times etc. You can even print them out!! It times the start of your contraction to the end, & time in between contractions!
I tried with my stop watch and it was a pain in the rear!!!
