If your DC was born in the summer...

What did you bring them home in? I'm thinking for most of the summer we'll put DS in onesies & maybe socks & blanket when in a/c, but by June here, it's HOT. Just wondering if a cute short sleeved onesie would be good to bring him home in, or if I should go with a footed sleeper or the like?

I know, I sound like a first time mom, but DD was born in the winter, so that was easy!

Carson was born in the dead of summer. it was 97 degrees when we went in to have him and the day we came home it was in the 80's - but it is like that here.

i bought one of those Sweet Baby Boy layettes and brought him home in the sleeper bag, kwim? it did not zip up, it was open at the feet but it was long sleeved light weight (cotton) had mittens for his hands and a little hat. everyone here cranks the a/c in the summer. he never got too hot.

We brought DD#1 home in a light-weight sleeper. But she spent most of that first summer in a onesie/romper and diaper or even just a diaper. She was a "happy spitter" and I got so sick of doing laundry that I just stopped putting a new outfit on her after she soaked her first onesie/romper of the day unless we were leaving the house. We live in Texas and keep the house pretty warm/hot during the day turning it down for nights.
