XP - Ear Infections

Wondering if anyone has had vomiting as a symptom?   Our daughter had what we thought was a stomach bug over Christmas, that turned out to be a double ear infection - she is now vomiting again (4x this afternoon) and I'm wondering if it's back (or never went away).   She pokes at her ears but doesn't have a fever and doesn't have any problems sleeping.

If it isn't an ear infection, I'm pressing for more answers because this is just not normal.

  • Interesting.  The only thing I can think of as to why that could be a 'symptom' is if it throws her equilibrium off or something & makes her woozy.  That's just a big 'ol guess though.  My now 2.5yo DD had bilateral chronic ear infections all last winter- they lasted for months- and never vomited.  She also didn't show signs of pain either & did not have a fever, so after 2 rounds of antibiotics we stopped & waited & the EI eventually went away on their own.

  • YES! DD was projectile vomiting 10/11 times a day and when we brought her in she had a really, really bad ear infection. The ped. said that ear infections can cause nausea. I would take her back to the doctor if she's still throwing up.
