my bedroom wouldn't inspire a gnat. We have a cool wingback chair and ottoman and hand painted silk prints that's all the fabulousness that is going on.
To the far left, the brown, is the hallway. The kids bedroom is a lighter green than ours but the hall, living room, foyer, and downstairs is the same. Sort of.
ummmm you really dont wanna see a pic lmao....right now my bedroom is the storage room for the stuff thats supposed to be in the dining room and kitchen....yep its the hell of remodeling.
BUT.....I have chocolate brown walls with dark beige trim. My bedding is blech and I hate it...its various shades of brown with a tad of sage green. I'm looking for something with more va-voom like reds.

I'M GRAPE JELLY- ALWAYS AROUND & ALWAYS THE SAME
If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me. For I must be traveling on now. Because there are too many places I've got to see. -Allen Collins & Ronnie VanZant
My favorite verse!
i'm pretty sure i'll do our bedroom over in a few years. It has the necessities: king size bed, down comforter and two dressers. I like the cream drapes i have and the walls are an olivish/brownish color. it is totally not pix worthy. even if i did recently clean the crap off my dresser.
mel-that is beautiful!! Love the fireplace! Where does the door lead?
Thank You! THere is another door on the other side of the fireplace as well. It leads to a deck, but currently, there is just black-top type stuff at this point. Eventually the plan is to put decking down so we can go out there. We bought a 1919 mediterranean style home and put a lot of work into it, so it has tons of charm, like the fireplace, and doors.
I bet the whole house is beautiful. I would love to own a historical home one day. For now, we are redoing our 1990's colonial, that looks like a 1990's colonial. Lots of work to be done here....

It turned out nice. We refinished all the floors, and just did a TON of work around the home. The people who lived here before us lived here for 7 years and basically did nothing....so we had a lot to do. But it's pretty much done now (I have all the before and after pics, that's what that photo is from...you should SEE the before pics!!!)....but now we just need to finish furnishing. Our dining room and foyer are still empty of furniture, but...all in time, right? GL on your home project--it takes a lot of work!!!
This is the room and the (current) furniture and the (current) paint. (no longer using this bedding though.)
The second picture is the bedding that is now in the current room with the current furniture. It was originally in our guest bedroom which became Blaire's room when Natalie was born. I keep a red throw folded at the end of the bed, and I use a cranberry roman shade with solid color cranberry panels.(instead of the stupid looking matchy-match ones)
All of this is about to change over the next 8 weeks.
If you'll look to the left of the dog, you'll see the new bedding. It's a pretty blue with some detail that would go towards the footboard. (that's my dog Chance that how's I found her Christmas morning. She'd already found one of her gifts).
And then a photo of the furniture we ordered. It's going to be Blaire's when we build a bigger home next year. But, our bed broke and we can't fit a King in there comfortably, so we got this and we'll just get our King size next year.
Our room leaves a lot to be desired at this point. I finally painted the wall behind our bed and put this wall-art up. The other three walls will be a brown/green color. We have a craptastic platform bed and mis-matching dressers right now. Sweet!
Re: s/o PIP your bedroom
Oh, Breeze, that's inspiring!! We have a big old bed and my parents 70ish furniture and white walls.
Not because we can't afford to buy a bedroom set and decorate but because we cannot seem to find what we like.

Not much special, I know.

Nothing spectacular. Our bedroom is dinky (very small house). Vintage iron bed which I LOVE though.
We have artwork and books now, lol.
our bedroom would only inspire people for what not to do. It's so boring it boarders on depressing.
All taken this time last year. Sorry there are none of the actual room.
How about what we want it to look like?
I love this furniture!!!
Pottery barn - and it's on sale!
It's the hudson bedroom collection. They have lots of different pieces.
I haven't even started on our room
Here is a stock pic of our bed!
Minus the canopy!
we now have a rug in there and everything, but this was right after we put in all the furniture....

Yes, one room at a time.
You have to share your before and afters when you can. I'd love to see them (and live vicariously through you)!

I don't have a pic of the whole room, but this is our furniture:
And this is the seating area. The table now has a huge white orchid on it and we are still shopping for comfortable chairs.
I found one pic of the Wall Words that are in the master bath, thought I'd throw that in, too.
