temping/luteal phase question...

okay, so before i got pg in june, my periods were like clockwork.  i got pg during my 2nd month of temping.  my month of temping shows that my luteal phase was 11 days.  after my d and e in oct, my temps started out all over the place but then stablized.  i finally ovulated in late november, and my chart shows that my luteal phase for that cycle was 13 days. 

NOW this cycle, my chart shows that my luteal phase was only 8 days, with my temp falling drastically (from 98.4 to 97.4) at the end of my luteal phase, and usually there is a gradual decline.

so, i have two questions:  (1) what's going on with my luteal phase?  will be a problem in trying ttc b/c we can start this new cycle  (2) is the drastically falling temp a sign of something?  or could it be that my therm needs new batteries, even though the "new battery" sign doesn't come up?

 help!

    Has AF shown up?  If not, your temp may go back up tomorrow.

    yes, today after two days of spotting.  so i'm happy that my 2 cycle wait is over, but worried that my luteal phase was only 8 days.  do you think it's just my body getting back into the swing of things after the procedure?

    i would call your dr and bring in a copy of your chart to them.

    While your lp generally stays the same, maybe varying a day or two, it is not uncommon to have a short one now and again.   And honestly, with only two charts as reference, and this cycle so close to your procedure, I wouldn't start worrying about an lp problem unless/until you have another short lp.  Good Luck!
