advice on timing of big ultrasound

My doctor prescribed my ultrasound today (for a 2 week window) from 18 to 20 weeks.  Here is my concern...

I measured 5 or 6 days earlier than my expected "due date" at my NT scan.   I want the scan to be as accurate as possible.   So... I would like to make on the very latest date (as I might really only be 19 weeks and a few days, not 20 when she calculates that I am 20 weeks).

it is booked on the very last date, so the latest I could do is when I would be 19 weeks, 6 days by her count, or maybe 19 weeks 1 day by the NT count.

She will not change my due date as she said that if someone measures within 1 week of the due date, she does not change it. 

So... if you were me, would you like and say that you have conflict and try to get it the following week (when I will be either almost 21 weeks or 20 weeks) or just go with the earlier date and worry that it might not be accurate.

Did any of you have your big scan at less than 19 weeks 3 days.  Like 19 even.   I have heard of some doing as soon as 18 too.

    Mine is at 18 weeks 3 days.  I called to book my big u/s and they asked for my due date and gave me an appointment.

    Mine was at 18w5d and they were able to get all measurements needed, and determine that we're having a girl.

    My Dr. had me schedule my big u/s at 18wks 4 days.

    I'll be 19wk3d based on LMP, but 18wk4d based on Ovulation. Hopefully it all works out - but I just called and got an appointment....it can be a long waiting game here so I took whatever was available.

    Mine was at 19 wks exactly.  It went perfectly.  She was able to measure everything she needed to measure and LO was right on track.  We chose to wait til 19 wks mark instead of doing it at 18 for same reasons you mentioned in your OP.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

    Mine is in my 19th week. I see the Doc every 4 weeks and my last appt was at 15ish weeks, so, viola! There have been some ladies who have found out the sex at 16-17 weeks too.

    I will be 20 weeks 3 days for mine.  My doctor used to do them at 18 weeks but the problem was in many cases they couldn't get all the measurements so you had to go back 4 weeks later.  The insurance companies we refusing to pay for the second one because the first one was done to early so it was causing my doctor's office headaches.  So now they schedule it between 20 and 22 weeks.

    If you are talking about the accuracy for determining the gender that can usually be done anytime between 16 and 20 weeks.  I think most doctros recommend between 18 and 20 weeks.  My big ultrasosund will be at 18 weeks.  With DD they determined her sex at a 16 week ultrasound.

    So funny most of us are trying to talk the tech into guessing at 13w!  Mine wanted to wait till 20w and I beg to do 18 weeks cause my mom will be in town and she said yes;)

    18 weeks 5 days. The tech said anything after 18 weeks was fine. All measurements right on scale and we were told the sex. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

    I went at 18 weeks 1 day, but I am almost positive that I am ACTUALLY a little less far along than my doc is going by... and I have to go back because they couldn't see enough of her heart to clear it. She was also moving ALOT. I would say, that for accuract of measurements and their ability to see everything... go later.

    With DD we had her fetal survey ultrasound at 17 weeks 1 day.  I wanted to do it early so that I could have an amnio as soon as possible if anything showed up on the ultrasound.  They were able to get all their measurements and tell me she was a girl at that time.

    This time around, I've scheduled it for 18 weeks 2 days.

    I am worried about not being able to get all of the heart and organ measurments.   the earlier (even by the earliest date i could possibly be) I would be 18 weeks 6 days on the date that they have available.   By her date, I would be 19 weeks 5 days.   

    I think I am going to try and push out at least a few days so that I can be at a minimum 19 weeks 5 days on the earliest measure.

    My doctor's office scheduled mine for me at 19w6d. They say they usually do them between 18-20 weeks but prefer that you are closer to 20 weeks.
