Toddlers: 24 Months+

here are ideas to keep a toddler busy!

I used to post on here but haven't been on in a while!  I just wanted to pass along some ideas that I have found to occupy my 2 year old daughter when I need to spend time with the baby.  She loves them!

1 - sort dry beans into baby food jars - you can buy a bag of 16 bean soup mix filled with dry beans and sort them by color, shape, or size (you could also do this with beads, sequins, etc)

2 - lace dry pasta shapes onto shoelaces or string to make necklaces or bracelets

3 - peel the paper labels off crayons (she came up with this one herself and it kept her occupied for the better part of an hour!)

  • Thanks for the ideas!  I love both of your DDs' names, by the way.

  • Thanks for sharing! My ds wants to play usually when I have to nurse dd. I feel bad telling him he has to wait, so now at least i have something to give to him to keep him occupied. Even though he has a roomful of toys, lol.
