3rd Trimester

I got caught

My DH caught me stalking my registry.  He was NOT happy.

And it was totally an accident.  I remembered that I hadn't seen the PnP on there so I wanted to make sure that it hadn't got dropped.  So I logged on and saw that 3 items had been purchased.  hehe.

Now I'm tempted to go look.  I must have self control.

Re: I got caught

  • Its SOOOO tempting! I have gone to both registries one time each...about 3 days ago. I am going to try to hold off. My shower is NEXT Saturday, I hope I can make it! Good luck! :-D

  • Why is that bad?  I don't get it.  You don't know WHO bought the gift and frankly, you registered for the stuff so its not a surprise...

  • I always looked, too. I guess I don't get what the big deal is in doing so. It's not like you're finding surprise gifts in the closet. You're looking at a list- that you made- that's available online. There's really no surprise factor, just relief/joy that people bought some of the things you asked for.

I don't get it either.   Didn't everyone do the same thing for their wedding registry (if they are married and/or registered)?

I actually do know.  DH's step mom was texting me yesterday while she was shopping.  So although I'm not certain she bought the items, it was probably her.

  • DH just thinks it's wrong and that it should be a surprise.  I'm trying to be a good girl, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him.

    This exactly.

I periodically check my registry just because 3 of the items I registered for are now discontinued :(  So I just check to make sure everything is still available. If items have been purchased, I don't know who purchased them and I don't even know the date of my shower, so I don't see the big deal.

  • I don't see the big deal either. I've had to log in to run maintence on it for people who've called and said oh i got you this but didn't mark it off or oh I got you this but at BRU instead of Target. So yeah it's no surprise anyway lol.
