My Little Boy is Here - PIP

I don't post here much but wanted to share my birth story because I loved reading everyone elses.  

 I woke up at 7 am on 1-1-10 with a menstrual like contractions.  I was 39 weeks 1 day along.  The contractions were very consistent from that point on being about 4 minutes apart.  I got up ate breakfast and took a hot shower to make sure I was really in labor.  At 11 am we called the doctor and she told us to wait 1 -2 hours and call her back.  One hour later we had to call her back as I was having contractions about every 2 1/2 minutes.  She told us to go to the hospital and get checked out.  We arrived at the hospital at about 12:45 and I was 4 cm dilated.  We were sent to a room where we got all settled.  I got my epidural at around 3:15 as we were waiting for my doctor to show up to break my water.  Once the epidural was in the nurse checked me and I was already at 9 cm.  At about 4:00 the doctor finally showed up and broke my water.  Almost instantly it was time for me to start pushing.  My little guy arrived at 5:18 weighing 7 lbs 5 oz and 19 3/4 inches long.  He is just perfect. Hopefully the picture works.
