Last night I had contractions off an on and didn't sleep very well. They started with my bath around 8pm, let up by around 10:30, but then started back with a vengance around 1:30am. From there I was up for a good 2 hours before they finally petered out enough for me to stop freaking out and get some sleep. I'm SO tired now today. I really hope Paige will lay down with me and let me rest while Sarah naps.
On the bright side although I still have contractions today they are only one or two an hour and not like last night where I seriously thought I was on the road to L&D. I need Aidan to hang in there until Tuesday for my induction so I can have my inlaws out here to watch the girls.
Re: So tired today...
that stinks- that happened to me for a good solid week before i delivered. I was still going to work- so i was up all night with contractions- catch a couple of hours of sleep and then wake up and go to work- and i felt like a zombie. totally sucked.
here is to hoping that Aidan and the girls cooperate so you can rest a little
That sounds rough. Hope you're able to rest today!
I keep hoping I'll start getting Braxton Hicks or something...my OB insists I'll know they're contractions but I'm ready for them to start!
Hang in there! I have no idea what labor is (no contractions, etc.), but I hear it's such a _itch!
Best wishes! I can't believe that it's almost here for you......
Thanks everyone! So far so good today with the contractions staying far apart. If only I could get comfortable!
I can't wait until Sunday. DH works Tuesday through Saturdays so once he gets home Saturday night he is off for over a week. He took the whole week to be there and help with the baby and girls and then has that Tuesday off when he'd usually go back because the day before (Martin Luther King Day) is a company holiday. And when he does have to go back it's a relief knowing he is only 2 minutes down the road and not an hour and forty minutes away like he was before we moved!
Harriet... I never felt labor either. I've had braxton hicks but never the ones you see on tv where you can't talk through them. Both births with the girls were inductions and I was able to get the epidural before I was in any real pain. What I had last night was worrisome because of how close they were and that they were stronger than usual but even at that they were more uncomfortable than really painful. I hope not to have to feel a real serious contraction!
