Swing - WWYD?

We would really like the My Little Lamb swing for LO. I can find this for about $120 online, plus shipping.

Our local baby consignment store has the swing - used - for $90. It looks to be in pretty good condition, and works (at least when I tried it out in the store).

Is the $30 or so savings enough to make you buy the swing used?

I'd say no, it's not worth it. Most likely this is an item that your LO will use frequently, so I'd go with the brand new one.

amazon has the same one for $111 with no tax and free shipping. I have been looking into the same swing just in case ours doesn't get purchased at our shower.

I got that swing as a shower gift. It's so cute. Honestly for only a $30 savings, I'd probably just buy the new one. You never know what the other one went through- it could have loose parts or something, but that's just me. Unless the consignment shot is negotiable- which I believe most are.

If it looks to be safe, and you can test it out, yes, I think I would be OK with a used swing. It's up to you whether $30 is worth it. (I would try to run it with some weight in there to see if it squeaks, etc.)

No, I would get the new swing. But I would consider this version, Starlight, of the FP cradle swing (exact same as my little lamb, just a different "theme") because it is $119 with no tax and no shipping charges AND it you can plug it into the wall so you will save $$$$ on batteries. I believe My Little Lamb has to use batteries.

I ordered this one from Walmart for $112 and $0.97 shipping. I'd do it that way there is a LOT of fabric on swing. It's something i'd want my LO in brand new.?

It's also the most adorable baby item we have. I love LOVE it.?

Get it new. You can only get so much life out of a swing before the motor gives and it could be something you use frequently. Not worth the savings.

Have you tried Kohls? When I had a 30% off I got it from Kohls.com. It was 120 - 30% (36) to be 84 plus free shipping. Just wait until they have the peel couponds and google for the code for 30% off. I am sure you can find someone (if not you) that has a Kohls charge card.

I'd get a new one... the motors don't last forever. I used the swing all the time w/ DS #1 and the motor died while using it for DS #2....

I got mine at Kohl's for $86 with free shipping. I think it's on sale on the site right now for $109 and then they usually have a promo code somewhere that you can use. Try googling the promo codes. Or like PP said if you know someone with a Kohl's card they usually give 30% off.

Knowing what ours went through, I would just buy it new. Ours got a ton of use and I wouldn't be comfortable passing it to someone else.

If you want it new, you can get it on kohls.com for $107 and then 20% off with their coupon codes you can find... thats what we did, so it would actually be cheaper that way and its new!!
