NSAIF-related - Need Easy Apps ideas

Having a few gf's over for some wine tonight, and need to have a few munchies on-hand.  I am NOT a cook, and have little time to go out & shop for ingredients.  Anyone have any crowd-pleasers they want to share?

TIA!!

  • The best thing I've ever found were guacamole bites.  Get a good quality store-brand guacamole and cherry tomatoes (on the bigger side if you can find them).  Cut the tomatoes in half, scoop out the insides with a clean finger, and put a little guacamole in each one.  Huge accolades for this.

Alternately, if your time is more limited, raw veggies - cherry tomatoes, celery, cucumbers, carrots, broccoli - on a plate next to a small bowl of ranch dressing always makes me happy. :)

  • Cream cheese & pickle rolls are always a huge hit and they are really easy.

Take deli sliced roast beef (or you can use ham, but I don't eat pork so I use RB), spread it with softened plain cream cheese (or the chive or veggie flavored is good with this too), roll around baby pickles, cut to fit the pickle. If the pickle rolls are on the bigger side, cut them in half. Stick a toothpick in them and serve. Yummy!

  • grapes, cheese, crackers, olives, veggies, prochuitto (sp?)....things like that....no cooking involved and all taste yummy with wine.  Think like an Italian...they love good wine and food!!  Spend your time on the shopping and you won't have to do any prep, throw it all on some plates!

Sounds like fun!  Have a good time tonight.

  • Thx Gals!  Those are some new ideas, and I'm game to try them b/c they sound fool-proof!  :)
