We have fraternal twins all over my family and my grandmother (a fraternal twin) is convinced I will have them too, but I just found out that someone in my family has identical triplets. I know identical babies aren't hereditary, but I was just curious to see if anyone on here has identical triplets. I've never met or known anyone that has them. I just think it's really neat!
Re: Anyone have identical triplets?
i do!
and there's another mom who posts here sometimes who had ID girls.
how old are the ID triplets in your family? i just started up a facebook group for parents of identical triplets.

My aunt was their middle school principal. I always thought that was so cool, and now I'm having twins. It's so amazing that way everything works out!
Just out of curiosity, is it the same process with identical triplets or more, as with twins? I guess I didn't know/think that was possible.
Yes. Instead of splitting once, the egg split twice.
I was told that most likely the egg split once (which would be ID twins) and then one of those halves split again. I had no idea ID triplets were a possibilty until that U/S that found them!
*coming out from lurking bc I'm just having one*
I know ID triplet boys that are about 27yo. I'm pretty sure they were carried to full-term, if not then very close to it.
