My husband is so dense sometimes

I came out this morning when I heard the glass break and I noticed his cereal box peeking out of the garbage can.  I asked him why he threw it away and he asked, "can we recycle it?"

Of course honey!  Remember all the boxes you would complain about sitting around in the apartment this past year?!  It's the same deal here!

Well, it gets worse.

After he left for work I went to break the box down and throw away the bag inside and found HALF A BOWL'S WORTH of cereal in it!  So I called him up and asked him why he was throwing away good cereal.  He just chuckled so I told him I was going to dump the stuff from that bag into his new bag.

It's just so weird that he will waste his money by throwing away that excess just because he can't make a whole bowl out of it or because there are broken pieces!

  • I frequently catch DH throwing things in the trash can instead of putting them in the recycling which is right next to the trash can... I don't get it either.

  • I watched mine get a cereal box halfway into the trashcan, notice I was watching, then slooowly pull the box out and place it in the recycle bag (2" from the trash). Then I had to applaud him for correctly recycling :)
  • Ugh, I know what you mean!  DH always throws away the toilet paper roll with couple sheets left on it.  I won't even go into the throwing away part, but why not use it all up first???

  • My stepdad once got mad bc my mom or I left a little bit of milk in the jug in the fridge.  I don't know if he wanted us to throw it away or drink it or what, but it was pretty funny.
