I wonder if you don't mind sharing a few things.  My appointment with the peri isnt until next Tuesday and I will ask these same questions there.

I went from being with the midwives, to picking a peri at EMFM.  When I was first at EMFM and found out our news, they kept saying "if you end up being our private patient..."  And I don't know what that means. 

Who delivered your boys?  The peri or an OB?  Did you have an OB as well as a having a peri?  I will have a c-section this time so I'm not sure what to expect.  You can PM me if you want to answer there too.

    i can pretty much guarantee you'll be a private patient with trips!!!

    mostly they consult with obs and your ob is still your primart doc.  but for the rare few, you get to be a private patient and you don;t have to shuttle between the two docs.

    i was a private patient so dr wall delivered my guys.  i was so happy to be a private patient and not have to bounce around.

    its funny though b/c they say that reverently all the time "ooooh, you're a private patient??"  :)  I gather that each doc might have a couple of private patients max at any time. 

     Who did you decide to see?

    Oh and if you want any c-section info, let me know - I loved both of my c-sections!

    Thanks!  That makes sense.  I chose Dr. Wall after your recommendation along with others here who recommended him, and a rec from a friend with the same disorder you have.  I needed someone with good bedside manner and who was caring.  My friend says he is the most caring Dr. she has ever seen (she saw an RE and she sees an OB).  Oh, so private patient is some elite club? :)  J/k.

    Yes, I would love c-section info.  Its a whole new world to me and honestly I'm completely scared about it.  You can email me if you want at chuckandamy@verizon.net

    ooh I just love Dr. Wall - say hi to him for me!  I'm sure he thinks I'm a crazy stalker that everyone I know goes to him.  One of my friends went to him when she was living in Maple Valley!  That's a long haul.  :)

    I will send you my birth story from Ben that describes pretty much how it was and I'm more than happy to answer questions about how it goes.  Of course I didnt' have trips, but the cutting and all has to be the same.  Probably jsut with more people around to catch those babies :)

    Yup, I asked this question and they said I will have the Dr (did not specify who) with me and nurses and that each baby will get a nurse.
