Nursery Paint question

I may have mentioned this before, but my DH is a nightmare with a paintbrush.  Truly a nightmare.  As in, he completely falls apart and feels bad about himself as a man because he can't make the paint look good on the walls. 

So if I buy the low VOC paint and open all the windows - can I do it myself? Thought I might take advantage of the cool weather this weekend and get it done

    You sure can...I did, and Caroline turned out just exactly perfect...

    Olympic paint at Lowe's is low to no VOC...

    I helped paint both Maya and Bella's nurseries with no VOC paint and they are both fine! I think you'll be fine :)

    You can paint but be careful! I saw some good tips on BabyCenter that suggest that you wear a mask at all times and keep any drinks in a separate closed off room. Have fun painting!

    We painted together with regular (not low VOC) paint.  As I recall babycenter had some great information about paint and solvent exposure while pregnant and it pretty much boils down to don't stick your head in the can or drink the stuff (or really work, as in manufacturing the stuff, in a closed room with no ventilation).  If you go low VOC with open windows you're golden.  Have fun!

    you can do it, for sure. you don't even have to open all the windows. your regular ventilation should be sufficient, as long as you aren't in an archaic house.

    btw, just saw while traveling in a coastal living ad, that you can buy paint that is edible, it is that safe. LOL.
