My neighbor (lets call him Joe) is going through a HORRIBLE divorce, his wife is being spiteful anyway she can, including taking it out on their 5 year old son
She tells lies to the little boy and even puts him in the middle of their arguments. Anyways Joe bought their house with his mothers inheritence and paid for her schooling with it as well. After 11 years of marrige she decided to cheat on him behind his back for over a year and then leave him. She met a new man and bought a house with him, she got pregnant on purpose but lost the twins
and all that happened before the divorce was final.
She was granted full custody and Joe was granted every other weekend. Im assuming that since she is the "main parent" (I dont know the correct terminology) she got to decide what happens to the house that Joe and her bought. She wants him out of the house ASAP so he has no place to go so that she can tell the judge that he is homeless so that their son can't see Joe. She put the house on the market at about $25,000 less then the average home in my community after sitting for 30 days she lowered it another $10,000 after no one bit on that she lowered it a whopping $40,000 below the average home in my community!! Thats were the vent kicks in!! Not only is she being spiteful to her ex-H for him to loose all that money from his house but it also makes all the houses in my community go down in value!! She was so quick to get him out that she doesnt care that she could have made an extra $40,000, well technically $20,000 they are sharing the "profit" 50/50.
She is evil, vindictive and I hope she gets everything she deserves. Im not stating good or bad things but I believe in karma. Thanks for reading

Yep. The house has nothing to do with custody, either. Legally, what he says his wife is trying to do isnt even possible. She cant sell a house out from under him if his name is on the title. And even if it wasnt an equitable distribution state, if "joe" didnt even have his own name on the title to the house he bought, then he's in for a rough time of it.
Also remember that you're only getting one (biased) side of the story. You may not like the woman, but all you're hearing is her angry, frustrated and hurt ex husband's side.
This plus he was probably given the option by the court to either buy her out or sell. If he couldn't afford to buy her out, they would sell.
I understand distributing the profite 50/50 but how did she get to decide how much the house was selling for? If its 50/50 it seems to me that either they should have reached a mutal agreement or the judge should have made it for them. idk? I know that he did not want to sell it for that little but from what he is telling me she made the decision and yes I am bitter towards her but I knew her before the divorce and she was evil then.
