Drink/beverage bucket - what do you think of this?

Hi, I need something to hold drinks for my friends baby shower.  I would use a cooler & put it out on the porch, but it will be Jan & to have the door opening & closing alot w/ people going in & out might not be a good thing, so I thought a little bucket like this to hold the beverages:

There will only be about 20 adults & a handful of kids, so hopefully it will hold enough drinks.

    I think it would work great & if you need to store some in the cooler & bring them in when this one empties that would work too.

    At my best friend's baby shower, we used an inflatable infant bath tub for drinks... it looked cute, and she was able to use it for travel after we were done with it!

    But what you posted looks nice and would work, too.

    Someone bought me one of these as a gift (or similar).  I'm not sure if we overfilled it or if we have messy friends, but it was a bit of a nightmare.  The ice and condensation coming out of it was a mess.  Maybe if you put it on a rug it would be fine, but on hardwoods, it was annoying.

    I used the inflatable rubber duckie tub for drinks at dd's 1st b-day party.  It looked really cute, but depends on the theme.

    I actually went to Home Depot and got one. it works great and is cheaper. I do suggest putting a towel under it to absorb condensation.

    Target has some, they  have all different colors, I plan on getting a light green one tomorrow morning for DD's 1st birthday party. They were only $14.

    I use a big copper bucket for parties/showers but not on a stand.  And it does sweat, so I either have it out on our porch or on our island with a cloth under it.

    We have something similar.  Just make sure it comes with the stand.  And you will need a mat under it b/c of the condensation.  It will drip on the floor.
