Would you say it's more or less lame than needlessly being a b*tch to random people on the internet? If you could put together some type of scale, or perhaps a color-coded system, perhaps we could all jump right on board with that!
I don't think it's lame, necessarily but I can't really grasp the concept of why. I know who everyone is on my facebook friends, nestie or not. Otherwise I wouldn't accept their friend request, or keep them as a friend.

Eh. Someone has to spice the place up and tell it like it is sometimes. I have fun doing it. It's my sport. If you don't like it, don't read my posts. Waaaaah.

More lame. I don't pretend to be friends with the people who say and ask dumb things around here. Pretending to be friends with people who you only know their fake online aliases, and posting details of your life and your family's life on FB but not knowing who is reading them is definitely more lame. If you want to create a color chart, go to town.
I think it's weird to have people you don't know, do not communicate with and/or have never communicated with outside of a message board, but that's just me.
I only have a few Nesties as FB friends and I've met them IRL.
It's all about what your comfortable with.

i think *you* are being lame to care. i can't always remember nestie's irl names on fb and have to look at their pics. it has nothing to do with having soooo many of them as friends. my memory sucks.
I sort of agree. If you don't know their first name it's a little weird? I agree with eclaires in that if I didn't know their first name I wouldn't accept their friend request.

Not just you. I actually just defriended family members who have people in their friends list that they do not know - regardless of my own privacy settings.
I'd say I find it more weird than lame... then again, I totally don't get people wanting to meet up with internet strangers in NYC or you (Gibs) stoking random strangers' flames online just to get your rocks off, though this all seems "normal"... I guess I have a lot to learn in the way of online societies.

Even *I* think it is weird -- which is what prompted this whole thing.
But I can't get over feeling bad deleting people!!
But I think I might.
I just don't know some of the people's names. I can recognize they are from the Nest but can't figure out what their Nest name is. I guess if I tried hard enough (like read bio info here and there) I could probably figure out some of them/all of them.
But yea, I have this whole guilt thing that I will be hurting someone's feelings by not acepting their friend request/deleting them.

If I told you my real name wasn't Kori, after being on here for *coughalongtimecough*, can you honestly tell me you'd remember who I was every time?
Being on a chatboard is lame. Being on facebook is lame. Yet here we all are.. lol

LOL yes, but this is not spicing it up. This is a lame-gibs post. *1 star*
