Pls rec your backpack diaper bag

We are headed to disney world next month and I think a backpack diaper bag would be a lot more convenient.  Any recommendations?  And while you're at it, any recs/tips for disney with a toddler?  How about restaurants?  DH will be at a conference so it will just be me and DS most of the time.  Am I nuts?

Re: Pls rec your backpack diaper bag

  • We are going next week, so remind me and I'll let you know how it goes when we're back. I love our backpack diaper bag! I bought a Petunia Picklebottom, too, but ended up never using it since I love the backpack so much. I can't remember the brand, but I think it's Columbia or something like that? Definitely one of those sport, outdoorsy brands. It's navy blue and grey. It comes with a changing pad and has a side insulated pocket for bottles which comes in very handy. If I remember I'll look up the brand tonight!

I have the Columbia one and really didn't use it much.  I wound up getting the Skip Hop Via Backpack (https://www.skiphop.com/product/21010.html) because I wanted to have seperate food and diaper compartments now that I'm carrying more food and restaurant type stuff (bibs, tiny diner placements, etc) and it just seemed yucky having that in the same place as the changing pad.  So far I like it.  It's not huge, but I don't tend to carry much and I wanted it small enough to still fit in the basket of my stroller (Phil & Ted's) since I can't attach it to the handle without it bonking one DD in the head.

I was looking at the skip hop via and really liked it but saw it got a lot of bad reviews for poor construction and problems with the zippers.  Have you had any problems?  My other option right now is the dadgear but I am worried it might be too big on me.

Yeah, I saw those reviews too, but I decided to take a chance because I'm not terribly rough on diaper bags (mine usually just lives in the car).  I got it for Christmas and think I've taken it out of the car once so far, so unfortunately can't comment too much on how well it holds up yet. ;-)

  • I bought a very gently used JuJuBe "PackaBe" and I LOVE IT! It's working great as a bag for 2 under 2 as well. Not too big but not too small either.
