I want this puppy. DH isn't sure we're ready yet in the new house, but I at least got a "maybe" out of him. I just emailed the rescue to see if she's still available. How could anybody say no to face like this?
awww.. she is so adorable.. I wouldn't be able to say not to that either, but I am sure DH would! Good luck convincing your DH!!

I know I could never say no to a face like that. She's so freaking cute !

That puppy is sooo cute! I hope she's still available...if she is, you should bring YH to the rescue place and let him play with her. I bet he won't be able to say "no" anymore.
So adorable. I say get her. You won't regret it...coming from someone with an 8 week puppy on my lap. You do both have to be 100% on it though to train properly.

I don't get a straight answer out of him, I think he just wants the house a little more "done." He finally mentioned concerns that he doesn't want a dog like my mom's, her dog gets excited when she sees people and wets in the house. I've told him there's no way to know that in advance and that we'd just to have to make sure that we train our dog that it's not okay. (my mom just goes "oh well" and cleans it up)
I'm getting him...now you don't have to worry Rotti, right?
it says they think she's a rottie/hound mix, but looking at the pic I'd have to say that the rottie is dominant. I really want a rottie but I'm fine with a mix as long as it's more like a rottie (I've seen some really weird rottie mixes)
and lol, sure come on by, hang out, the dog's in NJ though.

That's how MH's mom is and I think that was his concern about not wanting a dog either. I may get flamed for this but since I knew that we wouldn't let our dog be that way, I just went and got the dog. MH really doesn't get mad about things though and all he did was reinforce how he wanted the dog trained. Now they are best buddies. I really hope that you are able to talk to your DH and that you guys are able to come to an agreement.

I somewhat guilted DH in to letting me bring home a cat from the shelter I work at that was going to be put to sleep and now the cat loves him more than me! Hopefully, he will agree to get her.

SAIF/PAIF Welcome
Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.
Training is everything. You can avoid the excited peeing by proper training just like you can avoid a dog that jumps on people or one that barks too much.
This is the picture that stole my heart. I took it the day we visited the litter.

OMG..how can he say no to that face - she's ADORABLE!!!!
Here's what you have to do.. find that commercial with Sara Mclauchlin - where they show the pics of abused dogs and cats.. and play it for your H. That's how we ended up with dog #2. heehee.

I'll DVR it like that DQ commercial.
haha..yes! And just keep replaying it until he cracks.
Harleyjo, did you watch any tv on Christmas day? I don't remember what channel we were watching but they played that commercial over and over and over. Probably figured people were feeling extra sappy that day.

Yes I was but don't remember if I saw it a lot... but I change the channel so damn fast and push the images out of my head so maybe I forgot I seriously have a complex or something about that kinda stuff.
Also, when I'm at work and I go in the back room and they are watching Animal Planet, I always make them change it. It's usually the Animal Police or something similar!!
