Newborn Daycare

I know this is a popular discussion on these boards but I am having a hard time searching for the information.  I am due with my first baby in May and am starting to look at daycares.  I can't believe how expensive they can be! We are looking in the Abington/Ft. Washington/Blue Bell area.  Any suggestions? We have only looked at Play & Learn and KinderCare so far.

Any information would be much appreciated! I am very apprehensive about the whole daycare thing...something about passing my 3 month old off to strangers is making me very nervous!! I wish I could be a stay at home mom!

Check out this link provided by the state. There is a ton of information on how to search for a daycare provider. Also be sure to ask around for recommedations......friends, neighbors, church, etc. Good luck!

  • We chose Play & Learn in Ft. Washington. We've been very pleased with out decision and DD has been there since she was 3 months old. If you have any questions feel free to email me JenF910@aol.com

  • My son went to kindercare but he was 4-5. Even though he wasnt a newborn, I did gain a good relationship with all of the women there. Hopefully the same women are still there in July when I go back to work. I am due in Apr. Kindercare was great and it was right in my neighborhood. and yes Very expensive.
  • The Malvern Schools are wonderful with newborns.
