Update re: this effing chemical pregnancy

Just got the results of my beta yesterday. My hCG was down to 2. Obviously bad, but good because it proves something was up.

So I'm going in 1/26 for a repeat loss appointment. I asked if we should stop trying in the meantime and the nurse said "uh, yeah, I guess so." But I'm not sure I want to put things off when I have no evidence that anything's wrong with us, especially since CPs are (supposedly) so common and it's such a different type of loss than my first.

If you had a CP, did you wait a cycle (or more) before trying again?
If you were sent for RPL testing, did you stop trying until testing was complete?

No advice, but glad your number is down.

A girl on another board just had a CP last month and just got her BFP this cycle......she's crazy fertile.

I had a CP last month, but we started trying again this cycle. I have not had RPL testing done yet, but I am going to ask for it soon

I had a CP two cycles ago..my dr's office said to treat it as another period and that I could start trying again the next cycle. ?They said that CP's were very common and don't consider it a "real" miscarriage in terms of putting me in an at risk category for miscarriage..I would just keep trying! It doesn't hurt!

A friend had a CP and she got pregnant at her next cycle with her now 1.5 year old son. She didn't wait for testing either.

I didn't have to wait to TTC again after the c/p. I didn't have the RPL testing though. I would go ahead and try. Good luck!

My CP was just last cycle and we're trying again this cycle. The dr. didn't say anything about preventing for any period of time, so I'm taking that as the green light to go ahead and try right away. Oh, and I haven't had any testing done.

I had one last month and the doctor brushed it off, as "oh, this happens all the time." Like it's a cold or something.

My last was a cp too, and we didn't really wait to TTC before we got our RPL results. I didn't want to wait. But then we haven't gotten KU yet either, so trying was a moot point.

I had a CP and I didn't stop TTCing. The medical community didn't treat it as a miscarriage either which is good and bad. Bad b/c I was so sad and everyone was all WTF is wrong with you and Good b/c according to "them" it doesn't count against you in m/c stats.

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this.
