Expired Carseat

DSs carseat just expired and I was wondering if there was a place to recycle it.  If not what do I do with it so nobody else uses it?

    I don't know of a recycling place that takes them, but your local one may take the shell only. 

    Take the harness all the way out of the seat (if possible) and cut it into pieces. Cut it a few places if it doesn't come out of the shell. Slash the liner and break the foam up, if you can. Basically, do everything you can to destroy it. :)

    This is what I've heard to do too.  I've also heard that most places won't recycle them.
