During too sometimes. In early pregnancy, if constipation strikes it can cause hems. In later pregnancy, the pressure of the baby bearing down & carrying the extra weight, it can cause hems.

I only got one (yes just one) after pushing out DD. It didn't bother me too much what with all the tearing and stiches and healing pain at the same time. Although it has popped back out occasionally since then, just to say hey!
I had one prior to pg. It pops in and out occasionally to say "hi." It might have brought a friend last time. UGH. I'm sure post labor is going to be a nightmare. Bring on the stool softeners.
