I hate it when my boss schedules a meeting during my pumping time.

Now I'm going to be engorged and uncomfortable and it's going to throw off my schedule.  I think meetings for a dozen people should be scheduled around my boobs.  Wink

  • I feel your pain. This happens to me all the time.

  • I've been in meetings that have run long and I just excuse myself and leave to pump. Especially when the meeting runs over by 2 hours. I feel no guilt!
  • If you use Outlook just block off those times in your calendar as a recurrent appointment.

  • i think u should go in pumping in an "oh does this make you uncomfortable? sort of way... I bet they start working around you then! Wink
  • In the beginning I had a coworker (who sits right by me and knows my pumping times) schedule me for back-to-back meetings and then would get ticked if I had to decline one for pumping. So I put an am/pm break and lunch on there every day. I told the boss I could flex those times if need be but I couldn't have btb meetings w/o a break anymore. He totally understood and supported this.

A week after I put them on another coworker commented that I'm 'supposed to have my break times on my calendar' so they all knew when I wasn't available. Funny, no one else had ever done that for their ciggy or potty breaks.

  • agreed! also, if I have to go to meetings at the contractor's office, can I have a place to pump other than the car or bathroom?
